Title: A Dog's Life
Author: Ann M. Martin
Reviewed by: Kayla H., Grade V
This book is about the life of a stray dog. The book talks about the hunting skills they use to survive alone in the wild, the making of warm beds for the frigid winter, how they look for water to stay hydrated, and the excitement they share with each other. This is what the stray dogs did over and over again every year
This story takes place in the past. The author does not mention a specific place where the story takes place but I would guess that it is in America and it takes place in a town like Bordentown N.J
The character I picked to describe is Daisy. She is cautious about the risks she takes. She has grown up to be careful and smart. She has learned that everything will be all right if she just believes it will. Daisy reminds me of myself because she makes sure the risks she takes will not injure her and I do the same thing too.
This book is very interesting because once you start reading it you cannot put it down. I would recommend this book to the people who like dogs because it tells you a whole story about a dog’s life. Even if you do not like dogs, this book would be interesting. You should read this book because I know you would like it.
