Title: Moxy Maxwell Does Not Love Stuart Little
Written by: Peggy Gifford

This book is about a girl named Moxy Maxwell who is 9 years old that doesn't want to read the book Stuart Little which is a book she needs to read during the summer. She gets distracted easily and calls her distractions "in-betweens". She has to finish reading the book before the end of the day, but she gets distracted and many things happen.
The story took place on August 23 in Moxy Maxwell's home. It is important because that night was the Goodbye to Summer Splash show, which means that summer is about to end and school is going to start soon and Moxy hasn't started to read Stuart Little. Her mom tell her that she has to finish the book that day if she wants to perform in the show at the pool and stay for the after-party.
Moxy Maxwell does not change in any way and does not learn any important lessons. She does not remind me of myself or anyone I know.
I would recommend it because it is a good book and it shows you not to wait until last minute to do things that need to be done.

The book is about Benjamin Ripley who is a 12 year old boy about to go to Spy School in Washington D.C.He has been watched for his whole life by Alexander Hale, an agent at the spy school. He is extremely smart and is new at the school. There are very big surprises in this book that you'll love if you like action filled books. He also works with a girl named Erica. Erica is kind of Ben's dream girl at the school. There also is a big surprise about Erica that will shock you because it definitely shocked me! This book is not only about action it's about suspense and mystery and lots of problem solving. The main message is that you are never too old to do anything. Ben knows because he is a spy in training and he only 12 years old.
The setting is on the Spy School campus. Most of the scenes in the book take place is the mess hall and where all the student rooms are. It is important to the story that you know were everything takes place because it has lots of mystery and you need to remember where everything is. You can start trying to figure the mystery on your own through out the book.
The main character of the book is Benjamin Ripley. He is 12 years old and has a very uninteresting and mundane life, but it all changes in the spy school. He is usually not enthusiastic about life at school.
I would definitely recommend this book for all those readers who love action suspense and mystery. I love this book and will definitely read it again and tell other people about too.
Title: Because of Mr. Terupt

In the start of grade 5, a new teacher named Mr.Terupt comes and
teaches the class. Halfway through the year, the kids are playing in the snow. One kid named Peter threw a snowball because everyone was throwing snow on him. It hit Mr.Terupt and gave him a coma.
The setting is in a school in Connecticut and the time is present.
One main character is Jeffery. He is not very loved by his parents because they had him just to save his brother, Michael, who has special needs and is very sick. Jeffrey is very kind around kids with special needs. Jeffery reminds me of myself because I have a brother with severe autism.
I would recommend this book because it is very interesting and it teaches you a lot about special needs.
Review by Seth J., Grade V
This book is about a group of 5th grade students who attend Snow Hill elementary school. The name of their teacher is Mr. Terupt. The book is told through the point of view of each student. It provides the reader with an understanding of different types of personalities and how to deal with them.
From reading this book, I have learned that the way people present themselves to you, is not always their true personality. For example, one of the characters was very mean to other students because she was really hurting inside. In the end, she turned out to be a kind person.
One of the characters I can relate to is Luke. He is a serious student who tries to do his best. I think Luke learned to be more understanding of others.
What I liked most about this book is how the students came together to solve each others problems. I would recommend this book to someone who feels they are in need of better social skills or need help dealing with conflict.
Title: Alvin Ho: Allergic to Girls, School and Other Scary Things

The main message of the book is, even though things can be tough, you shouldn’t give up.
The book is about a boy named Alvin who is scared of girls, school, and other things.
When school starts Alvin is having a lot of trouble talking in school. While Alvin is trying to set up his desk a girl named Flea asked him if he wanted to be desk buddies. Alvin was afraid to talk in class so he couldn’t tell her no. So they end up being desk buddies anyway.
The story’s setting is mostly in Alvin’s back yard. Alvin’s backyard has a tree and a garden hose. The time is the present time.
One main character in the book is Alvin’s brother Calvin. Calvin starts out being mean to Alvin, but ends up being nice to him. Calvin reminds me of my cousin who used to be mean but is now nice.
The pictures give me an image of what is happening in the book. The illustrations help tell the story because they show exactly what’s happening as it happens.
I recommend this book because it’s a really fun book to read. And it’s a good book to read because the characters are silly. The book also has a good message.
I rate this book a 5 because I really want my own copy.

This is Greg Heffley's journal. His mom bought it for him. This book is about what happened to Greg in middle school. He writes and draws cartoons. The author teaches us what middle school is like.
The setting is middle school. It could be any middle school. It could be any time.
Greg is one of the smallest kids in the class. Greg is not popular, but he has a friend named Rowley. They like to play together. Greg chased the little kids with a worm on a stick. He let Rowley get in trouble. He learned to not blame stuff on people. He doesn't remind me of myself because I don't blame people.
I like the illustrations in the book. The cartoons help because they show what Greg's world is like.
I recommend this book. It is good because I like the pictures and the ini comics. The book is funny.

Wonder is about a little boy named August, his nickname is Auggie, and he has a deformed face. He has many life challenges and he overcomes them. He goes to school for the first time when he is ten years old. He gets made fun of a lot. I think the main message is that it doesn't matter what is on the outside of you but on the inside.
The setting is in North River Heights in New York City. It is in the present time.
One main character is Jack Will. He is a friend to August, and he is one of the few people who accept him. He is an enemy to the bully of the grade, Julian. At one time, he says some mean stuff about August. He didn't really mean what he said. They became friends again. In the end, Jack, August, and a girl name Summer, made everyone like August even if he is deformed.
I would recommend this book so you can learn to accept people how they are. It is also very interesting and it is very long and adventurous.
