What follows are some reading suggestions. While they have been organized into general age-based categories, please remember that these are suggestions, and many titles will resonate with readers of all ages, so please encourage children to browse categories that may appear to be for older or younger readers. Many of the picture books, particularly nonfiction picture books, as well as poetry books are suitable for middle and upper elementary students.
The books listed below are linked to an Amazon Affiliate Shop (Windows to the World Bookshelf) that will pay a portion of the proceeds to the Princeton Junior School Windows to the World Program for new books, so if you plan on purchasing any of the recommended titles, please be sure to enter through here for transactions. Also, please note that the titles below represent only a fraction of the recommended titles categorized in the Windows to the World Bookshelf, so be sure to take a look around. Many of the titles are also available in local libraries. If you are a resident of Mercer county, you can check for titles online and even place holds if you are a library card holder. Princeton residents can check the Princeton Public library catalog.
